The rain cleared away and the sun came up just in time to welcome thousands of people into Central Park for the 14th Parkinson's Unity Walk last Saturday, April 26. The weather was beautiful all day, and the experience was more than humbling for everyone there!
As many of you know, we webcast this event Live from Central Park! Beginning in 2-3 weeks, the webcast will be available on our website to view all year. You will hear from walkers, sponsors, PD organizations, and will get to see the entire program! One man tells his Parkinson's Fight, and Efforts to make the disease history. He hopes to step closer to a cure by helping us spread awareness. Jerry Tully, a producer for ABC news magazines, joined us on Saturday at the Walk, and put together this great article:
