Last Friday night, after a seven year absence, I played with the accordion band. I also made a commitment to play for Octoberfest, at the Christmas dinner for the homeless, and at the December meeting of the DBS support group.
Alice, the band leader, had tears in her eyes to see me return. My fingers and thought process were slow. I had difficulty keeping up the pace. But I'm back to my accordion bliss!!!

Hi Bob,
You should have seen week 2 of band practice. Even though I'm strong-willed, there was nothing I could to will my slow fingers to play the music. Once the meds kicked in, finally I could make music.

I have the same thing with typing, the keyboard. Sometimes, I can type like the wind; often, can't type at all. Gave up Spanish guitar and blues guitar years ago - guys only learn music to attract a woman, after they get the woman, they don't need to play music any more. At least that's the way it worked with me.
